FamilyRelief Respite Project

Because every caregiver deserves rest, and every family deserves balance.

Heroes Need Rest

Behind every person with a disability is a family giving their all — day and night, often without rest or outside help. The FamilyRelief Respite Project was created to care for those caregivers. We provide short-term in-home and community-based support for families who are not receiving state-funded services, giving them the time and peace of mind they need to restore balance and sustain long-term caregiving.

Respite care is not a luxury; it’s an essential lifeline that strengthens the entire family unit and helps prevent burnout, stress, and isolation.

What Relief Looks Like in Practice

Through FamilyRelief, Uplyft provides funding to cover the cost of trained respite providers who temporarily care for individuals with disabilities in safe, familiar environments.
Families can choose trusted caregivers or work with our network of vetted providers.
We coordinate schedules, verify qualifications, and ensure each care plan meets the individual’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs.

This program ensures families get a break without guilt or worry — knowing their loved one is receiving quality, compassionate care.

The Families We Stand Beside

We serve families who provide daily care for children or adults with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs and who lack access to formal respite funding. Many of these families are low-income or navigating multiple responsibilities that make sustained caregiving overwhelming.
FamilyRelief ensures that no family has to choose between their loved one’s safety and their own well-being.

How We Bring Calm Back to the Chaos

When Families Rest, They Rise

Rest restores capacity. When caregivers are supported, individuals with disabilities thrive in more stable, nurturing environments.
FamilyRelief not only prevents burnout—it strengthens family bonds, improves mental health, and ensures that love can be sustained with joy rather than exhaustion.

Lend a Hand, Lift a Heart

Families can apply for respite funding directly through The Uplyft Group.
Community members and donors can sponsor respite hours for families in need, giving the gift of renewal and strength.

We connect communities, build capacity, and create sustainable opportunities that uplift lives and shape a better future.
