About The Uplyft Group

Empowering Ability. Elevating Humanity.

Our Story

The Uplyft Group began with a simple truth: every individual deserves the chance to live, learn, and thrive with dignity.
What started as Autism Ally Group — a small community supporting families navigating autism — has grown into The Uplyft Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a more inclusive world for people with disabilities.

While our name has evolved, our heartbeat remains the same: to stand beside families, create pathways to opportunity, and ensure that every person — regardless of ability, income, or background — has access to care, connection, and community.

We carry forward Autism Ally’s compassion, experience, and community trust, expanding it through new programs that bridge faith, family, and function. Today, Uplyft unites five pillars of impact: Community Partnership, Autism Ally, The Uplyft Center, Florence Kitchen, and Special Events — together forming one mission-driven ecosystem of empowerment.

Our Mission

To remove the financial, cultural, and logistical barriers that prevent individuals with developmental or behavioral disabilities from accessing timely, evidence-based care and community inclusion.

We believe that equity in care is equity in life — and that early identification, personalized support, and empowered families can transform futures.

Our Vision

A world where disability never limits dignity.
A society where inclusion is not exceptional — it’s expected.
A community where every person, regardless of ability, is seen, supported, and celebrated.

Our Values

Equity

Everyone deserves the same access to opportunity.

Dignity

Every person has inherent worth.

Empowerment

Families thrive when equipped with the right tools.

Faith

Our work is rooted in compassion, guided by purpose.

Community

True inclusion happens when we walk together.

Our Core Pillars

Autism Ally Program

Carrying the legacy of our founding organization, Autism Ally continues to deliver compassion-centered programs including:

  • Dream Come Through – fulfilling the wishes of individuals with disabilities to boost confidence and inclusion.
  • Ome-Nma (Feel Good) – promoting hygiene, self-esteem, and sensory-sensitive self-care.
  • Caregivers & Family Empowerment – equipping families with knowledge, support networks, and resilience.

Community Partnership Program

We bridge access through initiatives like:

  • The B.R.I.D.G.E. Project (diagnostic access and early intervention)
  • I-Thrive Project (assistive technology and adaptive equipment)
  • FamilyRelief Respite Project (short-term family care support)
  • Respond with Respect (first responder and community training)
  • Adapting Environments (home modification and accessibility)

Each initiative exists to make care not only available — but equitable.

The Uplyft Center

A hub where faith, creativity, and inclusion meet — through:

  • The Uplyft Ministry – creating accessible, sensory-friendly worship environments.
  • Talent Enhancement Program – nurturing skills and self-expression.
  • Employment Readiness & Inclusive Employment – preparing and connecting participants for meaningful work.
  • Recreational & Social Inclusion – fostering friendships and belonging through play and community.

Florence Kitchen

Where nourishment meets empowerment.
Through our Food Distribution and Soup Kitchen programs, we provide wholesome meals, nutrition education, and vocational training for neurodivergent individuals and families facing food insecurity. Because inclusion starts with access to the essentials of life.

Uplyft Events

Celebrating inclusion through shared moments that uplift and inspire:

  • The Uplyft Awards – honoring caregivers, advocates, and champions of inclusion.
  • The Uplyft Talent Show – showcasing the creativity and courage of individuals with disabilities on stage and beyond.

Our Approach

Compassion + Competence

Uplyft combines the empathy of community care with the structure of professional service.
Every program is developed in partnership with families, clinicians, educators, and advocates to ensure real-world impact and sustainability.

We don’t just serve people — we walk with them.
We don’t just advocate for inclusion — we design systems that make it possible.
